Addiction, Therapies and Treatments among Sessions Highlighted at Contemporary Forums’ Tenth Annual Brain Injuries Conference

Earn up to 24.75 Continuing Education (CE) credits through several sessions, including two preconference sessions on brain rehabilitation

DUBLIN, Calif. – Sept. 1, 2011 – Contemporary Forums, a leading provider of continuing education (CE) for healthcare professionals, announced its lineup for the annual Brain Injuries conference, September 28 - October 1 in San Francisco, Calif. Offering a total of nearly 25 CE credits, the conference will feature nationally known experts discussing the latest innovations and information on brain injuries and treatment.

“Despite advances in treating brain injury, clinicians and healthcare professionals still face challenges in the recovery process and need to be educated on new, evidence-based treatments that will make a difference in the patient’s quality of life,” said Kathryn Clayton, MSN, RN, MBA, ALNC, program manager at Contemporary Forums. “Each session at the Brain Injuries Conference will feature a nationally-known expert with extensive background and research in the areas of brain injury, speaking to attendees and imparting the most up-to-date clinical management information so they in turn can improve outcomes for their patients.”

The conference will kick off on Wednesday, September 28, with two preconference sessions on brain rehabilitation. The first, Using Technology in Brain Rehabilitation, will feature a variety of speakers who will highlight assistive technology, web-based treatments and rehab training. The second, Workshop on the Evidence-Based Cognitive Rehabilitation Manual for Therapists, will review rehabilitation protocols featured in the newly released Manual for Cognitive Rehabilitation.
