Highlights & Benefits

Education – Interaction – Relaxation! We invite you to join us at the 2018 Pediatric Nursing: Acute, Critical & Emergency Care conference in Las Vegas to experience all three.

High energy, confidence, and the ability to think quickly are distinctive traits that you, as pediatric ICU, ED and floor nurses, exemplify. These traits, in combination with an ever-present need for more knowledge, help ensure that your critically ill and injured patients will receive the best possible care. We look forward to helping you achieve this goal through presentations provided by nationally-renowned expert faculty, interaction with your colleagues and speakers, shared problem-solving and in-depth case study discussions.

Return to your units energized and ready to share clinical pearls and strategies to meet the daily challenges your Pediatric Floor, PICU, and ED settings present!

Highlights of the 2018 Conference include:

  • This conference is the first of its kind, providing 3 separate tracks specially designed for the Critical Care Nurse, Emergency Department Nurse and Acute Care & Floor Nurse.
  • Three full day preconference review courses: CCRN Pediatric Review Course, CPN Review Course and CPEN Review Course.
  • Two unique half-day preconferences.
o Caring for the Deteriorating Child, focusing on recognition and initial management of a child that is clinically deteriorating rapidly.
o Advanced Pediatric Pathophysiology providing in-depth knowledge and challenging case reviews related to pulmonary, endocrine, neurologic, renal and immunology issues.
  • Hands-On Learning! Two chances to attend a hands-on workshop on Concurrent Session day, during which you’ll take part in activities at four stations. Gain experience with equipment and procedures that continue to cause stress at work—in a non-stressful environment!
  • Opportunities to question and share experiences with experts in the field through faculty Q&A sessions, case studies and interactive workshops.
  • A chance to engage your colleagues by networking and socializing throughout your conference stay, including an optional Breakfast Session and networking t-shirt exchange!
