  • A morning preconference, Traditional, Invasive to Contemporary, Noninvasive Hemodynamic Monitoring, reviews how acquisition of valid data, waveform analysis, and appropriate interpretation of the data are imperative for optimal patient hemodynamic assessment.
  • An afternoon preconference, Pharmacology Updates: Toxic Ingestions, Deadly Bleeding, and the Opioid Epidemic, addresses the most recent evidence, and provide pearls and pitfalls for management of patients with toxic ingestions, anticoagulation-related bleeding, and opioids emergencies.
  • The keynote presentation, Impact of a Mass Casualty Event, will address how one of the hospitals closest to the Las Vegas mass shooting in 2017 coped and treated many victims of this tragedy.
  • General Sessions relevant to both ICU and ED staff discuss issues and challenges these clinicians faced daily in their units.
  • From a choice of 15 sessions, attendees can participate in 5 Concurrent Sessions presenting specialty-specific options as well as broad-based sessions that apply to caring for all critically ill patients.

The Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, the Roman-themed hotel, is a landmark resort and convention complex. The garden area features three swimming pools and two giant outdoor whirlpool spas. The Forums Shops offer amazing shopping with more than 160 boutiques and shops, as well as restaurants.  Additional shopping is found on the Apian Way, where a life-sized replica of Michelangelo's David is found.   • This conference will be held at the Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, located at 3570 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Las Vegas, NV 89109. A limited block of rooms is being held for you and your guests at special group rates which will be in effect, based on room availability, from October 7 to October 12, 2018 for those wishing to extend their stay to enjoy area activities or qualify for discount airfares.

    Reserve your spot now! Only a $75 refundable deposit necessary. The deposit becomes non-refundable and non-transferable if balance is not paid in full at least 30 days prior to the start of conference. To guarantee Early Registration pricing, attendee must make deposit prior to the Early Registration deadline and pay balance in full at least 30 days prior to the start of conference; thereafter, Early Registration pricing will be forfeited. All other cancellation terms apply.
    Registrations faxed without deposit or payment will not be processed. Conference communications are sent via email. Attendees may apply non-refunded tuition, less the Fee, towards one future Contemporary Forums conference occurring within twelve (12) months of original conference.   • Force Majeure.
    Should this conference be cancelled for any reason, including but not limited to, acts of God,labor strikes, civil unrest, or acts of terrorism, Contemporary Forums’ liability is strictly limited to full refund of registration fees paid.
