Objectives:

This conference will enable the experienced clinician to:

 

  • Identify the current trends and critical issues in the care of women during perimenopause, menopause and beyond.
  • Evaluate management options for a variety of clinical challenges when caring for women over 40, including abnormal uterine bleeding, genitourinary syndrome, osteoporosis, cardiac disease, diabetes, vulvar dermatology and sexuality.
  • Explore hormonal and alternative therapies for menopause symptom management.
  • Manage depression and anxiety in older women.
  • Discuss and evaluate well-women screening in women over 40.
  • Design exercise programs in the face of chronic medical conditions.
  • Synthesize and apply new knowledge to manage the care of aging women through case-based, interprofessional sessions and panel discussions.
