    • Preconference A: “Advances in the Treatment of Mood Disorders,” focuses on the psychopharmacologic treatment of mood disorders based on their neurobiological and psychophysiological characteristics.
    • Preconference B: “Personality Disorders: Changing the Lens from Reactivity to Proactivity,” provides a foundational overview of the etiology of a diagnosis of personality disorder within the parameters of the DSM 5.
  • A mix and match approach to 15 Concurrent Sessions that offer updates in the areas of schizophrenia, sleep disorders, dementia, autism, opioid management and eating disorders among other topics of interest.

Conference Objectives

This conference will enable the experienced clinician to:

  • Explore current evidence-based guidelines for the treatment of a variety of psychiatric illnesses, including treatment dementia, autism, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia and eating disorders.
  • Define the role of compassion and the importance of leadership and professional engagement in psychiatric nursing.
  • Examine emerging fields in mental health such as the relationship between depression and the gut and the latest on prescribing opiates and psychostimulants.
  • Identify competencies to assess suicide, sexual and aggressive behaviors in dementia and dissociative disorders.

Tuition discounts are given to groups of 3 or more registering for the complete Main Conference.

Discounts do not apply to the Preconference.. To qualify for the group discount, all registration information must be complete for all group members, payment included and forms sent together. If faxing, list all group members on cover sheet. Subtract the discount from the tuition fee. Groups may not be formed after individual registrations are received.

Attendees may apply non-refunded tuition, less the Fee, towards one future Contemporary Forums conference occurring within twelve (12) months of original conference.   No credit issued if future conference tuition is less than original tuition paid.  Attendees who “No Show” forfeit entire tuition paid.
