Conference Objectives
This conference will enable the experienced clinician to:
- Explore current evidence-based guidelines for the treatment of a variety of psychiatric illnesses, including treatment dementia, autism, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia and eating disorders.
- Define the role of compassion and the importance of leadership and professional engagement in psychiatric nursing.
- Examine emerging fields in mental health such as the relationship between depression and the gut and the latest on prescribing opiates and psychostimulants.
- Identify competencies to assess suicide, sexual and aggressive behaviors in dementia and dissociative disorders.
