Set in the shadow of the towering Grand Teton Mountains, Jackson Hole is a unique blend of Old West charm and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Nowhere else on earth will you find such a magnificent display of nature mixed with unlimited activities. Within its confines lie Grand Teton National Park, the National Elk Refuge and the friendly town of Jackson -- the gateway to Yellowstone National Park.
Our conference site, the Snow King Resort is undergoing a $16 million renovation to be completed in June which includes:
Click here for details about the renovation.
Past guests at the Snow King will be amazed at the transformation and new guests will experience a first class resort in a world class destination. Activities abound at the Snow King – horseback riding, the Alpine Slide down Snow King Mountain, mini golf, a chairlift to the mountaintop – all combine for a memorable stay.
The Grand Tetons may be the world's greatest range of mountains to behold – majestic by day, mysterious by night; purple-pink at dawn, slate-blue at dusk; sometimes misty, sometimes clear, but always trimmed by snow. Enjoy a hike on one of the clearly marked trails and capture the dazzling array of wild flowers and prolific wildlife, or venture deep into the back country for a close-up of the stunning peaks of the Grand Tetons, among the most photographed in the world. The conference schedule has been arranged to allow time to enjoy the activities of the area. The Snake River, which winds its way along the base of the Tetons, provides a perfect playground for daytime excursions. You may choose a scenic float trip down the Snake or thrill to a whitewater adventure through one of its canyons. Golf, horseback riding, mountain biking, jeep tours, and fly fishing are just a few of the other activities you can enjoy.
If you still have the energy after an active day, kick up your heels western style to live entertainment at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar or attend the action-packed Jackson Hole rodeo. Over 40 restaurants in Jackson Hole offer menus to suit all tastes from delicious prime rib in the lively atmosphere of the Mangy Moose to wild game at the Gun Barrel Steak and Game House. Experience the authenticity of a Paris bistro at Rendezvous Bistro, a locals' favorite, or the creative cuisine and upscale atmosphere of the Blue Lion or Snake River Grill. And for an unequaled view and exquisite dining experience, don't miss The Granary.
The arts also flourish in Jackson Hole. Enjoy the nightly concerts of the Grand Teton Music Festival where everything from Beethoven to Bartok is performed by some of the nation's finest musicians. There are also numerous art galleries displaying the works of a number of well-known artists who make their homes here. And you won't want to miss the National Museum of Wildlife Art, situated on a dramatic cliff overlooking the National Elk Refuge. Capturing the area's natural beauty in its stunning architecture, the museum's collection includes over 5,000 art pieces ranging from early American tribes through contemporary masters.
You may also want to extend your stay to tour Yellowstone – our country's first national park and largest outside of Alaska. Visiting Yellowstone is a unique opportunity to see a wide variety of wildlife – including moose, elk, buffalo, deer, coyote, eagles and maybe even a bear – and visit the awesome thermal areas where the two contrasting elements of fire and water have produced a land of natural wonders.
With such a wide array of beautiful scenery and exciting activities, you won't want to miss this opportunity to visit the spectacular area of the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone during this conference. Bring your family and friends … it'll be a trip like no other!
The Activities Coordinator at the Snow King Resort will send activity descriptions, details, pricing and advance activity reservation forms to all registrants before the conference.
